Ordering

Get it the way you want it. You decide which metal, which finish, which size! Make all your selections (silver or gold, gold color, finishing, size) & then the corresponding price will appear.

Silver & Gold

The carved and cast rings are available in sterling silver or 14k gold in your choice of yellow, white, rose, or green gold. If you prefer 18k, platinum, palladium, or a black coating, you may contact us here for a custom order.

Ring sizing

** Please note, customers assume sole responsibility for determining the correct ring sizes for their orders. Please be sure of ring sizing when placing an order, as returns/exchanges due to incorrect ring size are not accepted. **

Many ring designs cannot even be resized if brought to a local jeweler due to the nature of the ring’s design. For this reason, we suggest you get your fingers sizes measured by a professional if possible. Otherwise, you can search online for tricks to measure your finger yourself either by wrapping something around your finger or by comparing the size of a ring you already own with different sized circles. When selecting which size to get, consider which finger you will want to wear the ring on. Finger sizes fluctuate in different temperatures, environments, or due to weight gain/loss, dietary changes, etc. Even if choosing a ring for a particular finger, we like to choose a ring size that covers various fingers so the ring can be switched around depending on the fit that day. For wide rings, it is typically necessary to go up a size from the usual one you might wear on a particular finger in order for it to fit over the knuckle. Therefore, if getting your ring size measured, it is wise to tell the person you are curious to know your size for a wide ring too.

If deciding between two sizes, we suggest you go with the larger size because it’s the safer bet. It will probably provide more options too. For example, it’s more than likely that the larger size:

will fit your target finger more comfortably and throughout more of the year (depending on the average temperature/humidity where you live);
will fit other fingers, so you can swap it around on different fingers and hands depending on how it best fits you that day. You may also want to move it from its usual finger if it somehow doesn’t fit with the way you want to curate the other rings on your hands that day.
can be worn doubled up with a smaller ring serving as a “stopper” to keep the larger one in place.

Finishing

There are generally two finishing options available: high polish or matte. High polish means it will have a shiny polished appearance. Matte means it will have a non-shiny appearance. The finishing on a piece can carry a dramatic impact on the ultimate look of a piece. Whichever finish you choose, it is important to know that it will likely change a bit as you wear it and it begins to show signs of being worn. This is especially true of rings since they end up coming into contact with things so often due to the high usage of our hands.

Shiny pieces may get little scratches or nicks, and in the same way, the matte finish is not entirely permanent either. As the surface gets knocked into things, or comes into contact with the oils on your skin, etc., the soft matte finish will become burnished and shinier in areas. Most likely, the finish will eventually become somewhat polished from wear. We love this phenomenon and consider it to be a beautiful experience of transformation from one look of beauty to another as the piece gets more bonding time with you. The changes visually display that the piece has been worn and loved, charged with your energy.. that the piece has truly become yours.

Also note that over time, silver becomes oxidized and darkened from exposure to oxygen. Depending on the piece, you may opt to polish it or to leave it oxidized. Or, you may do a bit of each by polishing the more pronounced areas of the piece and leaving the nooks and crannies oxidized to preserve the look of more depth and contrast. Pristine or antiqued, both are beautiful.

Timing

Why does it take so long for the customized cast pieces? Each piece is made upon order according to your specifications. As these are handcrafted pieces of artwork, they take time and care. Plus, this is a one woman business.

Rush orders

We understand that sometimes you are in a rush. If you find yourself in this predicament, contact us here to request a rush order. We will assess the situation and will give you the best estimation we can so you can decide if it works for you. There may be an extra fee for rush service.

HAND MADE POWER OBJECTS

Francesca Aimée pieces are all hand made & hand finished, so irregularities are meant to be treasured. Our jewelry is intentionally infused with energy streams. Which they will now receive from your body!

Made with care & attention to detail, your pieces would be best if maintained in the same manner once in your possession to keep them as fresh & beautiful as possible. Indeed some pieces are quite tough, while others are far more delicate. Please handle mindfully to preserve the finishing, fine touches, & connections. Jewelry is after all meant to adorn & delight, not to be invincible (even if you are!).

DO'S & DON'TS

Standard practices apply here: avoid contact with chemicals, hard & rough surfaces.

Beaded pieces: keep them dry. Don’t bathe or swim with them. Excess heat, moisture, or chemicals are generally detrimental. Store these pieces away from sunny windows when not being worn. Exposing the stones & mixed material beads to direct sunlight for extended periods of time can cause damage & runs the risk of potentially fading colors.

Silver & gold pieces: use only special polishing cloths for occasional shining. Enjoy the natural oxidation that occurs with time & contact with the body. In certain designs especially, the darkened areas in the nooks and crannies actually enhance the overall look & depths of the shapes.

Store kindly when not being worn, or during travel.
